第一次煮香蕉松饼和卤肉,都挺成功的,开心 :)
Breakfast:
First time making this banana pancake using overripe banana I have at home.
Very yummy indeed !
I love banana, haha
Eat with honey together with homemade almond milk cooked by Vic, and also kiwi, strawberry and cherry tomatoes that we bought from pasar malam yesterday.
Ingredients:
2 banana, 1 egg, a tablespoon of yogurt, a tablespoon of multipurpose flour
** Initially I planned to made flourless pancake, but the batter was too watery, so at the end still have to add a tablespoon of flour **
These are breakfast for the kids : fried egg with fruits. They both love strawberry but not the other two.
Love the colour combination. |
Does it looks like a bear ? |
Lunch:
We have left over pork bone soup from yesterday, so just cooked simple noodle soup with veges (yau-mak and carrot). Overnight pork bone soup tasted even nicer. (no photo).
Ingredients:
Big pork bone, few slices of ginger, carrot.
Dinner:
It's Friday again (!) and I'm working from home, so I can cook something more complicated or time-consuming (other than the usual steam fish, spaghetti or fried rice =P ). Vic bought 2 slices of pork belly. I don't usually cook pork belly so decided to make braise pork for the first time. It's actually quite easy, think I'm going to cook this more often next time :)
and it's really yummylicious ! I felt hungry now already by just looking at the photo.
I added some tea leaves so the sauce has a very light but nice fragrance of tea, love it ~
Both Vic and I had 2 bowls of rice. Nicole loves the pork belly and of course her favorite is egg.
Ingredients:
2 slices of Pork belly, few pieces of ginger, 6 gloves of garlic, 1 spring onion, some tea leaves, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 star anise, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, rice wine, 1 tablespoon of sugar
** added in cooked eggs when it's almost done. Don't put in too early else the egg will be overcooked and very chewy **
** forgot to put in mushroom. Don't have fu-chuk or taufu-pok at home, else can add in also **
This is our simple Friday dinner:
Brown rice, braise pork belly, braise egg, stir-fried kai-lan with carrot and minced meat, pork bone soup (not in photo)
